David-Donehower Funeral & Cremation Serviceis in the community of Detroit Lakes, MN, and serves surrounding areas. We are adding a General Manager/Funeral Director to our team. We are looking for talented, and caring individuals to join us. This role will oversee and lead the daily operations of the funeral and cremation center businesses. What you will do:
Provide overall operations and market share leadership and strategic support to location managers and all employees within the operating group
You will serve as a bridge between shared services’ strategic work and tactical location execution.
You will possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge of operational process and procedure.
Manage employee and operating group performance using established metrics and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly
Coach and develop Funeral Home staff in various areas
Will perform Funeral Director duties as needed to support and collaborate with your team
Experience you need to bring:
3+ years of experience in a leadership role
5 years within the funeral industry
Ability to successfully coach teams
Fully licensed in Minnestoa as a Funeral Director
Educational Requirements:
Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state
Successful completion of the National Board Examination
Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination
Valid Funeral Director and/or Embalmer State Licensure
Valid Driver’s License
